In Ritual Studies, I explore the grid in painting, weaving and embroidery as both a visual motif and an underlying structure. What is created through lines in painting is already inherent in woven fabric through the crossing of warp and weft threads.

Through mirroring, shifting and translation between media, a small repertoire of geometric forms gives rise to new images. Weave patterns become embroideries, while digital constructions become woven works. Each work draws on earlier forms and becomes a starting point for further transformations.

The title refers to the recurring acts of mirroring, weaving, stitching and translating. Each repetition changes the original motif, returning to a central question: How many images can a single image contain?
